BEHAVIOR CHANGE
The NASM Behavioral Change Model is based on principles from over 35 years of scientific research and intervention development. BCS combines the Transtheoretical Model and strategies used in Multimodal Therapy, which outline the multiple dimensions involved in human behavior. Early in the engagement, the coach, in conjunction with the client, will establish a focus, set a goal or goals, and maintain that vision throughout the engagement.
The Multimodal Life History Inventory is divided into two major sections: (1) Personal and Social History and (2) Modality Analysis of Current Problems. Once each major section is completed by the client, we will use this information to select appropriate interventions and strategies.
